A dirt path winds through a dense, green forest with tall trees and lush foliage.

Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m a licensed clinical social worker with more than 15 years of experience working with children and families. I am, more than any other descriptor, deeply human.

Why a Mindful Mouse?

The name comes from a belief I carry into every aspect of my work: that tenderness deserves to be noticed and held with care.

My practice is grounded in the contemporary relational tradition of psychotherapy, drawing on Relational-Cultural Theory, Winnicottian holding theory, Internal Family Systems and Gestalt, with acceptance and values based approaches woven in as appropriate. I work from the conviction that connection is fundamental to being human, and that much of what we call suffering grows from disconnection; from ourselves, from others, and from what matters. I believe in the therapeutic relationship as a critical component of change, and I hold that connection takes many forms: there is no single shape that a flourishing life is required to take.
